Percussion Pocket Pistol marked Kuchenreuter .R on barrel circa about 1850 – 60’s. The Kuchenreuter family. Were appointed royal gun makers to the Hapsburg and Hollenzolleran families as well as other nobility of Europe. 9 inches overall with a 4-inch Barrel of approximately 60 caliber smooth bore. Traces of Gold gilt bands at breach and muzzle tight action and metal is very good. The checkered wood stocks are also good to very good with crisp checkering. Fancy lines on plaque. May be S, D, E. intertwined. A royal pistol at a peasant price. (I meant pleasant?).
