Pair of Mid 19th Century Percussion Dueling Pistols
Pair of mid 19th century percussion dueling / target pistols signed Kuchenriter and showing Contriner style nipple safeties. Also marked S-750 on the barrels indicating ownership by Stembridge gun arsenal located on the Paramount Studios lot in the golden age of film and who rented firearms to major Hollywood productions for approximately 70 years. This pair of pistols was purchased by Moe Gronsky from Walter O’connor in the early 1970’s. The pair were well known to southern California collectors as having been used in identified to several films. Unfortunately the still photographs showing these pistols has been lost in a prior owners estate when he passed away. It is my belief that the pair were used in a pirate movie from my memory. Worth researching as the value will improve if identified to a feature film. The condition is fair to good. $3850 for the pair.
