Scarce and desirable Glassick & Co. marked southern Derringer with silver and German silver mounts. 6 ¾ inch overall with 2 ½ inch barrel of 44 – 45 caliber and full stocked with squared butt in the southern style. The trigger guard and side plate are silver, and the inlays are German silver. The lock is marked Glassick + Co. behind the hammer at the top edge of lock in small letters. The metal shows an uncleaned brown patina, and the stocks are very good. Action works well. Made shortly before the Civil War and of the type favored by riverboat captains and officers as pocket pistols during the Civil War. Glassick was located Memphis Tennessee and is most well known for manufacturing the Schneider and Glassick revolvers for the Confederacy. Certainly includable as a

secondary Confederate arm in a collection. Less than 10 are known and this is the only known example silver mounted. $4,800
