French double barrel percussion shotgun signed in gold on barrels, “Le Page Arq du Roy”. Le Page was the gun maker to the king of France and the gun is signed beneath the hammers on each lock plate. 47 ½ inches overall with 32 inch barrels in 12 gauge. The locks are nicely engraved in foliate scenes and matching the tang and mountings. The stocks are a light walnut or fruit wood. The barrels show old tobacco brown refinish to fine and stocks have been repaired and refinished also. The locks function but the left hammer safety notch or half cock is gone. Old replacement ram rod included. A great and iconic French royal maker at a bargain price. Added note: two trigger guard screws are modern replacements and front screw missing (probably disassembled for G.I. Bring back WWII). $1,295
