Out approximately 100 estimated to have been produced and this is currently the highest serial number known to old-time Dragoon collectors. The Dragoon remains in good to very good condition with a patina finish and scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion. The barrel address and patent marking on the frame are legible. All matching visible serial numbers with traces of cylinder scene. The grips are very good, with 60 to 80% original varnish remaining, minor losses at toes and heel and just normal aging. Crisp action and good edges. Very acceptable specimen of a key and rare variation. $8,650
