British flintlock military issued Dragoon pistol with G.R. Crown at center of lock and Q. L. D. (Queens light Dragoons) Marking on rear of barrel. 69 caliber smooth bore, 9 inch barrel, 16 inches overall, brass mounted with lazy s side plate, circa late 18th century to Napoleonic wars and war of 1812 era. Dark brown uncleaned patina with light and moderate pitting and erosion. Correct flintlock parts. Lock cocks but slips o notch occasionally (it happens after 50!). Correct style horn tip ramrod. Wood is good to very good with minor losses and small imperfections. The history of the light Dragoons would be interesting to research as they may well have burned Washington (before Antifa) in the war of 1812.
