Authentic Colt Model 1847 Walker 44 Caliber Percussion Revolver. Number A - 46 from Captain Jack Hayes company of Texas Rangers with stellar provenance. This Walker remains in good to very good condition with matching numbered parts, legible markings, and barrel address. The metal surfaces retain a dark brown patina with minor pitting and erosion in a few scattered areas. The grips are good, with some wear from carry and use, along with a large gouge on the top left and small losses at the toes and heel with a crack towards the bottom right grip. The Arbor was repaired during the period of use. The front of the ramrod and bottom side of the barrel show well-done restoration back to Walker confi guration after being converted to a style latch. One cylinder shows a blow-through between the nipple and the cylinder stop. The action is good and bore fair to good. A good and thenic Walker with minor restorations suitable to include in any major Colt collection. Provenance: 1951
